Jean de Brem, a nationalist activist assassinated by the Gaullist police, had written, for the German tune of "Ich hatt' einen Kameraden", this French poem, sung for those who have been called back to God.

1st verse
One evening in the struggle,,
Galloping to the unknown
We were on a ride,

The one I loved the most (bis)

A horseman by bravado,
Of his most resolute
Carried me his shock,

I avenged the slash,
That this blow had earned you

Jean de Brem, militant nationaliste assassiné par la police gaulliste, avait adapté, sur l’air allemand de J’avais un camarade, ces paroles françaises, chantées pour ceux qui ont été rappelés à Dieu.

1er couplet
Un soir dans la fusillade,
Galopant à l'inconnu
Nous étions en cavalcade,
