The body regenerates 3.8 million cells per second

Many people know that hepatocytes (liver cells) can regenerate. Hepatocytes are renewed approximately every 150-500 days.

The cells of the epithelium of the stomach and intestines are able to renew themselves. They regenerate themselves every 3-5 days. The rate of regeneration is due to the aggressive acidic and alkaline environment affecting the mucous membranes of these organs.

Lung cells are replaced with new cells every 5 to 20 days, and cornea cells are replaced every week.
