Good morning All.
I was connecting to students, who were confused, lacked clarity about Mains 2022 or further preparation for 2023.
As my endevour is not only to play a role as a TEACHER but also to be a FRIEND and a GUIDE.In this Exam, Mental Health is of Supreme importance and I can compromise with my classes at times when I see that some student needs intervention.
So here our sharings ( including Ravika Ma'am' from her interaction with Psychology Students )
1. First things first - it gives immense pleasure to help someone.
2. It gives even more satisfaction if those people whom who advised, guided or taught clear this Exam.
3. It gives even greater happiness if you did it Ethically :)
4. What I have learnt is - those who are writing Mains continuously - are
NOT foccessed on
DEEPER UNDERDTANDING of the subject matter. More so in their
OPTIONAL.
I can say this seeing their marks in repeated attempts.
One simple rule of UPSC is focus on COMPREHENSIVE learning. Because without this it is evident in your answers by their superficial quality.
Without this you will not be able to do good connectivity and can't give better examples - Result - you lose marks.
How can this be done ??
Concentrate on LEARNING rather than simple CRAMMING.
How can this be done ??
By giving more TIME and deeper PROCESSING of subject matter.How can this be done ?? There is some part of SYLLABUS which has got heavy weightage and can be applied at various places. FOCUS on this part more than giving equal weightage to every TOPIC.
How can this be done ??
When you are a person who does not PANIC and has the PATIENCE and know the Process well.
How can this be done ??
Still got no clarity - come and JOIN us

So the take away is - focus on larger picture and grow as an individual. If we remain a kid while giving CIVIL SERVICES Exam- it's a cumulative harm.
One thing that you need to understand who are making a decision to be with me ( or us ) in this preparation that we all are human beings and we all have 24 hours and we all have Families. If I give somewhere extra time I will have to compromise at some place - if at everything you want a perfect of me that's impossible :)
I will have to become SHAKTIMAN to be it
Have patience and success will come..do what this Exam requires not what you want to do.
And we know what this Exam requires so will guide you, teach you in that manner -
because what we know, you will know it after 10 years - this is called
EXPERIENCE and CONFIDENCE.
