Picking up from where my previous article One Word To Sum-Up The Oil Market: Uncertainty left off, we have seen more certainty in the oil market since then. Initially scheduled to take place on 1 July, the OPEC+ meeting went into a stalemate after Saudi Arabia refused to accede to the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s demand for its oil production baseline to be increased. After the two-week stalemate, the meeting reconvened and concluded with a compromised deal.
