I just follow three simple rules

1)Give Respect and Take Respect(doesn't matter a sweeper, CW, Associate or Colleague)

2) Giving a chance to rectify one's mistake.(It boost's confidence of employee on management)
And Never allowing to make the mistake that had already happened further

These things worked pretty well for me
