Ivan Minchov Vazov (Иван Минчов Вазов)
né le 9 juillet (ou le 27 juin) 1850 et mort le 22 septembre 1921 est une personnalité éminente de l'histoire bulgare. Essentiellement reconnu en tant qu'écrivain et poète, il a également pris une part active à la vie politique de la Bulgarie à la fin du XIXe siècle.
Il est l'auteur des paroles de l'ancien hymne bulgare
"Shumi Maritsa" chanté lors de la guerre de libération contre l'Empire ottoman.

born July 9 (or June 27) 1850 and died September 22, 1921 is a prominent figure in Bulgarian history. Mainly recognized as a writer and poet, he also took an active part in Bulgarian political life at the end of the 19th century.
He is the author of the lyrics of the old Bulgarian hymn
