EUR/CAD – Post PEPP Bond Buying Plan Laid Out
The European Central Bank held its monetary policy unchanged during their meeting yesterday. The central bank mentioned that bond buying under its Pandemic Emergency Purchase Programme (PEPP) will be held at a slower pace during the first quarter of 2022 before coming to an end at the end of March 2022. The ECB has also decided to extend the reinvestment period for the PEPP until at least the end of 2024.
