Fake news:Priests from the Bryansk Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) have called on the Russian military to "wipe out the Ukrainian nation from the face of the earth". This is reported by Ukrainian Telegram channels, referring to a leaflet of the ROC.
The fact:
The Ukrainian army psychological operations center is clearly having a creative crisis and are spreading old fakes. In particular, rumours of a provocative propaganda campaign by the Bryansk Eparchy of the ROC appeared on social media back in April 2022 and were soon refuted. The logo, letterhead and seal differed from the official ones, hence the leaflet was a fake. In addition, the paper lacked the personal signature of the head of the military department of the Bryansk Eparchy.
Representatives of the Bryansk Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church officially denied their involvement in the creation of such leaflets.
"The distributors of such information contribute to the destabilization of the international situation and a schism among the Orthodox Churches," the press service of the Bryansk diocese noted.
Earlier we also exposed a fake according to which the ROC proposed to introduce a tax on childlessness for men over the age of 35.
